Rest in peace to our friend and fellow DXE organizer Trevor Bellaccomo. Trevor was a dedicated animal rights activist who built this chapter up with passion and hard work. His spirit and energy irreplaceable in the fight against animal exploitation, we are still shocked and mourning this tragedy. Our thoughts go out to the animal rights community and his loved ones most of all. Trevor was so excited to bring another organizer to the chapter - his wisdom and energy will always be with us, may we never give up the good fight that Trevor fought at every event.

The protests against The Timberwolves owner, Glen Taylor continue. Millions of chickens were murdered in a process called "Ventilation Shutdown" that involves gassing animals to death in large industrial sheds. The man who orchestrated the atrocity is the owner of the Timberwolves team.

Right now, activist and attorney Wayne Hsiung is facing felony charges just for rescuing a sick and injured baby goat from a so-called “meat” farm in North Carolina. The real crime is not rescuing Rain. It is the abuse that Rain had to be rescued from. This case is monumental for a lot of reasons. One of them is that it forces us to ask whether we want laws that privilege abusers or the value of life and safety.
