Throughout history, every generation has been called to build a better future. These remarkable students answered that call by participating in the Third International Diplomacy of the Heart Conference in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on April 27, 2026. Their presentations, conversations, and friendships reflected the very essence of the Diplomacy of the Heart: building trust through dialogue, service, ethical leadership, and respect for the dignity of difference. We are deeply proud of these Youth Diplomats of the Heart and look forward to the positive impact they will make in their schools, universities, communities, and beyond.

The success of the Diplomacy of the Heart Conference in Tashkent, Uzbekistan would not have been possible without the dedication, professionalism, and tireless efforts of the Baskerville Institute’s student interns and volunteers.
From conference coordination and logistics to international engagement and participant support, these remarkable young leaders helped create an environment of dialogue, respect, and collaboration that reflected the true spirit of Diplomacy of the Heart.

Their commitment, energy, and passion for cross-cultural understanding demonstrated the important role youth can play in building trust, strengthening international partnerships, and advancing meaningful global dialogue.

Uzbekistan: Voices of the Monuments is more than a book of architecture and history. It is a work of Diplomacy of the Heart, giving voice to the stones, domes, streets, and sacred spaces that have carried the spirit of the Silk Roads across centuries.

From the turquoise domes of Samarkand to the historic streets of Bukhara and Khiva, this remarkable work reminds us that monuments are not simply structures of the past. They are living bridges between peoples, cultures, and generations.
