Lgbtq Affirmative Psychotherapist Guild of Utah

Lgbtq Affirmative Psychotherapist Guild of Utah The Guild is a non-profit organization of mental-health professionals who are committed to providing LGBTQ-affirmative resources to the Utah community.

The Guild is a Utah-based, grassroots organization of licensed mental-health professionals and students-in-training. Members meet monthly for consultation and education regarding mental-health concerns of sexual and gender minorities. We welcome members of any sexual orientation. The Guild website offers support and resources for Utah Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Q***r, Questioning, Same-S

ex attracted individuals and their allies. We provide networking opportunities, CEU credit classes, community outreach, share valuable resources among members, maintain a calendar of events, and provide an online directory of LGBTQ Affirmative therapists for the general public to find help for their unique issues. The Guild has no paid staff and all our operating expenses are funded solely from annual membership dues. Administrative and program matters for the Guild are managed by a volunteer Leadership Collective. As much as possible from our available pool of members, we seek for our leadership to reflect our commitment to cultural diversity. The Guild does not provide crisis or intervention services, nor can we engage in therapeutic counseling via e-mail communications. We do respond to general inquiries; however, information provided in replies does not constitute therapeutic advice. Individuals, organizations, or agencies that are suggested as follow-up to assist further clarification of inquiries does not imply that The Guild endorses those resources.

Hey my name is Cassie and I am a Board member with AFSP Utah. We are hosting a survivors day event at the pride center. I was wondering if you could share this around and see if therapists in your network would be willing to share with their clients who may have lost a loved one to su***de.

The details:

A FREE Webinar on the Future of Health Care Funding

As federal funding for health care programs is rescinded or just paused, organizations like yours are grappling with how to continue serving communities in need. At Candid, we recognize these challenges and want to create a space for health care organizations of all kinds to connect, share strategies, and learn from one another.

We invite you to join us on Wed, Oct 1 at 1–2:30pm ET / 10-11:30am PT for a virtual discussion with fellow nonprofit leaders working in health care. This session will focus on how organizations are adapting to changes in federal funding, exploring solutions to sustain critical services, and identifying ways to support each other through these uncertain times.

What to Expect:
A peer exchange on navigating federal funding shifts in health care
Real-world strategies from organizations facing similar challenges
Insights on advocacy, alternative funding sources, and collaboration opportunities

Our Featured Nonprofit Presenters:

Jaynell Assmann, Founder & CEO, Care Beyond the Boulevard, Kansas City, KS
Mari Hutchinson, CEO, Step2: A Woman’s Path to Recovery, Reno, NV
Sheri Munsell, Executive Director, Hope Gain, Grand Rapids, MI
Alan Witchey, President & CEO, The Damian Center, Indianapolis, IN

We hope you’ll join us for this important conversation. Register in advance for this meeting: https://learning.candid.org/navigating-federal-funding-cuts-a-peer-discussion-for-health-care-organizations-10-01-25
