A lot of organizing starts with one conversation.

Not a speech. Not a pitch.

Just one worker talking honestly with another worker about wages, benefits, training, jobsite conditions, and what union representation has meant for them.

If you know an electrical worker who has questions about Local 354, connect them with the organizing team.

Sometimes that introduction is all it takes.

Confidence can come from learning a trade, but it can also come from proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you thought.

For IBEW 354 apprentice Valeria Roman, the apprenticeship program has helped build both.

Her story is a reminder that the skills learned in the trade can carry far beyond the jobsite, shaping how members take on new challenges in work and in life.

You do not have to run for office to make your Local stronger.

You can attend a meeting.
Join a committee.
Help an organizer.
Mentor an apprentice.
Show up for an event.
Start a conversation with a coworker.

Strong unions are built through small acts of participation over time.

Our Inside Agreement contract will be expiring at the end of May next year, so our contract negotiations will be starting soon… and that means it’s time for another Negotiations campaign!

And this time, the campaign will be focused on PTO for All.

Paid-time off is useful for many things:

-Vacations with family
-Doctor’s appointments
-When you’re feeling under the weather
-Preventing burnout
-and even more!

Similar to our Paid Holidays campaign, we have PTO red shirts—as well as campaign stickers—that we will give out to our members. We ask that our members wear these red shirts every Wednesday to show solidarity in our push for Paid-time off.

Members can use the “Worksite” function on the IBEW 354 app to submit pictures of folks on the job wearing our PTO red shirts.

***Make sure to only take pictures on the job if it is legal to do so—and also make sure that everyone in the group photo is okay with having the picture go on social media.

If you still need to get a PTO red shirt, you can stop by the union hall to grab one. And if you haven’t taken our Negotiations survey yet, you can scan the QR code below to get started or you can visit this link:

Thanks for uniting in this campaign for Paid-time off. Let’s get this benefit that will improve the lives of our current and future members!

A project this size takes more than manpower. It takes coordination, experience, and a workforce capable of delivering quality work on a demanding schedule. At Meta’s Eagle Mountain Data Center, IBEW Local 354 members helped do exactly that.

Working alongside Meta and contractors Cupertino, Cache Valley, and Skyline, union electrical workers helped bring this massive project to completion while maintaining the craftsmanship our members are known for.

It’s a project worth looking back on, and a strong example of what a skilled union workforce can accomplish when the stakes are high.

This one is for the people who built it.

The roads. The hospitals. The schools. The power systems. The neighborhoods. The places we work, live, and gather.

Labor Day belongs to working people, including the generations before us who organized for safer jobs, fairer pay, stronger benefits, and a voice at work.

Proud to carry that legacy forward.

You do not have to be an organizer to help grow the Brotherhood.

Every member can support organizing by talking honestly about their union experience, listening to the concerns of nonunion electrical workers, sharing accurate information, and connecting interested workers with Local 354’s organizing team.

Organizing is not simply about adding members. It is about raising standards, protecting the trade, and helping more electrical workers receive the pay, benefits, and respect they deserve.

Your conversations can make a difference. Contact the hall to learn how you can support Local 354’s organizing efforts.

Back-to-school shopping is another opportunity to support working families.

Before filling your cart, look for school supplies made by union workers, including products from Five Star, Mead, Roaring Spring, Pacon, Kleenex, and Sharpie.

Every union-made purchase helps support fair wages, safe working conditions, and good jobs across the country.

Choose union-made whenever you can.
