A Joy School in Iringa, Tanzania now has clean water. We are grateful for the help of Kitosi Drilling on the completion of this project. A Joy School received an interest free loan from RAFIKI to pay for the project. We are encouraged by the humility of the community and school staff as they work together to repay the loan.

At Rafiki Outreach, we’ve been able to partner with other awesome nonprofit organization’s to complete water projects. This well was drilled at I Am A Child of God Preschool with the help of ROAM Humanitarian, our RAFIKI team, and a local drilling company in the fall of 2023. This well supplies clean water for children of single mothers and their families.

Hey you guys! Our next Rafiki outreach expedition is this May, designed for college aged students 18+ and up. Pass this info onto any friends or family that might be interested! The cost is lower and than past trips to fit in your college budget. It will be led by Christian and Elizabeth Holmes. Christian lived in Tanzania for 2 years and is fluent in Swahili. We’d love to have you join us!!

RAFIKI Outreach teamed up with the leaders of Oldonyosambu to help them further their rain water storage efforts in this high fluoride region. They collect rain water from their roof tops and gutters into storage tanks to use as their drinking water. Only a few homes have the storage tanks but we loved seeing that they share the water with all people in the village. The high fluoride mountain stream water is used for washing, watering their animals, and sometimes for drinking.

Some villages outside of Arusha, TZ are afflicted with high amounts of fluoride, which affects the bones and teeth of those who are susceptible. The people in this area collect water from a pipe connected to a mountain stream. RAFIKI Outreach is working on finding the most effective and sustainable solution to filter their mountain stream and future well water to have safe amounts of fluoride and other minerals.
