Tech in Mining with Rio Tinto Kennecott
Calling all 9th–12th grade students and parents
Ken Garff For Good is taking students inside Kennecott's operations, the same mine that's been carving into Bingham Canyon since 1903 and is still one of the biggest copper operations on Earth. ⛏️
Join us in person for a site tour, or hop in virtually from wherever you are, either way, you'll get an inside look at how this massive operation runs.
Fun Fact:
Kennecott runs one of only TWO copper smelters in the entire US. They're one of just two US producers of tellurium, the material that makes solar panels possible.
You'll get to explore the site, meet the people who actually run this place, and hear firsthand what they're working on right now.
