Shame on me for not taking a before pic of this shirt but here’s an upcycle! Been following the hacks floating around the insta sphere and took a whack at it myself! This was just a regular old men’s dress shirt originally. Shout out to my grandma and her 10 billion buttons. Feels good to make old new ✨

Behold! The Critter Coat!! My wonderful friend and old coworker Mara is a super talented linocutter (?!) and before she voyages back to the east, she let me go wild on this thrifted jacket with her work. Most of them are native species to Utah or the West at large. Jacket season is whittling to an end here in SLC, so had to take this one out of the town before it’s a billion degrees!

This was inspired by another whimsy girlie on the internet whom I now can’t find :( but made a billion tiny ceramic ladybug buttons to act as my emotional support whimsy through spring. It worked. Now I need to make one for if she’d ever get me her measurements. 🐞
