Service Centrum

Service Centrum Our mission is to touch individual lives around the world by getting volunteers and funding together with those needing service. What is the activity?

Service Centrum is a corporation that offers to provide service to the needy (poor, distressed, and underprivileged). Service Centrum also offers to provide service to communities, groups, organizations, entities, and individuals that meet the following criteria (those working toward the advancement of religion; advancement of education or science; those desiring service in regards to erecting or

maintaining public buildings, grounds or works; lessening the burdens of government; lessening neighborhood tensions; eliminating prejudice and discrimination; defending human and civil rights secured by law; and combating community deterioration and juvenile delinquency.) Service Centrum offers to provide service to the needy (as described above), and to communities/groups/organizations/individuals/entities who meet the criteria (as described above) in order to better the lives of all served and to the betterment of society at large. Service Centrum helps to obtain funding as needed, and help gather resources and people who desire to serve their communities. It provides opportunities to those who are willing to quickly complete service projects to make a donation following their service that is provided by Service Centrum (up to 12% of the project cost), and can be donated back to causes that they care about as long as those causes have been approved by Service Centrum and are currently 501(c)(3) compliant. Because of this unique process Service Centrum can offer quick and effective resolution of service projects and intends to become a centralized hub of Service projects, for each of the above listed classes and purposes. Service projects can vary widely from simple projects like weeding the home of an elderly person, or building a wheelchair ramp for a disabled veteran, to painting a chapel, to building a new homeless shelter and acquiring land and helping with staffing and operation. Because Service Centrum performs all types of service offered to any individual, group or any other entity, as long as they can verify the need and purpose meets one or more of the above listed purposes, literally any type of service project could be performed. Who conducts the activity? All service projects are completed by volunteers. When specific skills are required for a volunteer to perform a function those skills should be verified by those requesting the service. Service Centrum does not verify the skill sets of those performing a service. When is the activity conducted? Service Centrum attempts to fill all service projects as quickly as possible. Service projects can be completed as early as the day they are approved and displayed on the website, or otherwise approved by Service Centrum. The majority of service projects are hoped to be completed within 30 days of being received. Service Centrum cannot however guarantee that any service project will be completed. Some projects may take many years to complete, and some may never be completed. After a service project has not been completed within the time frame provided when entering the request for the project the project will be removed from the list of projects. Where is the activity conducted? Service projects can be performed anywhere in the world as long as they meet the need(s), and/or requirement(s) listed in the first paragraph. The intention of Service Centrum is to provide service to those who need/require it in any location in the world. How does the activity further your exempt purposes? Though this has been likely made clear throughout the previous statements: Service Centrum and all service provided by Service Centrum and those that volunteer is solely for the purpose to better society and to make the world a better place. All service projects are measured against the above listed needs/requirements in paragraph 1. Because of using this as the basis of acceptance of all projects, only projects that further our exempt purpose will be approved and posted. What percentage of time is allocated to the activity? Between 1-7 days are allocated to Service Centrum to get a project approved or declined once it has been entered. Service Centrum will provide an estimated cost, and information about the estimated time and resources, volunteers and any other details needed in order to complete the service project. Service Centrum will then have as long as needed (up to 6 months for large projects, 30 days for smaller projects as a standard) to acquire funding for the project. If a project is not funded in the time frame alloted, it will either require an extension to the time frame with no more than two extensions allowed, or it will be declined. Once a project is funded it is placed on the site for volunteers to perform the service. Volunteers will receive the amount of time allocated for the project multiplied by three in order to complete the project, within which time they will need to complete the project. If a project cannot be completed in the time frame allocated extensions may be offered through a request to Service Centrum. Once a project is completed Service Centrum will have between 1-7 days to close out the project and offer donation incentives to those volunteers providing the service. How is the activity funded? All service projects, are publicly funded. This can be done through any type of fundraising except gaming of any sort. A project that requires funding is not approved by Service Centrum, until it is funded.
