🍂 The seasons are changing, and we're in the home stretch of the remaining SLAQC meetups of the year! ❄️

We're back with the schedule for the final three months of the year, and we've got some new things — and some classics — cooking! Here are some of the highlights:

🧗‍♂️ We're shifting some of our Momentum Climbing meetups to be more rope-climbing focused! Bouldering is still welcome, but we'll be trying to get folks on top rope and sport routes!

🎃 We'll be at Salt Lake Bouldering Project for the gym's Halloween event on October 27! More details to come!

👥 We will be hosting a Friendsgiving Potluck in November! Details are TBD, so keep an eye out when the time comes for signups!

🍪 There will be an affinity group collab climb night on August 13, which will also include a fundraiser! Details to come!

FREE ROPE DAY IN DRAPER SATURDAY 9/12!

SLAQC is rolling into September with a day of guided climbing for folks who are new(er) to outdoor rope climbing! Please read the details below before signing up(link in bio) - spots are limited to 8 folks, please only sign up if you are confident you can attend.

⛰DETAILS⛰

⛰We will be climbing at Red Rock crag in Draper from 9am-3pm. Carpooling can be arranged for those who need it!

⛰This meetup is primarily for folks who have never climbed outside or are only able to climb outside when others set up rope systems for them at events like this. If you are comfortable leading sport climbs outdoors or setting up top ropes, we kindly ask you wait til the event is closer before signing up for a spot!

⛰Participants are limited to 8 people to help respect the climbing areas and other climbers and maintain appropriate guide ratios

⛰Gear will be provided as needed but you are welcome to bring your own harness, shoes, and helmet! You should also be prepared with your own lunch, snacks, water, layers, sunscreen, and anything else you need to be fueled and have fun for a day outdoors.

⛰As with any outdoor experience, this program may be cancelled or delayed due to weather. SLAQC not hesitate to cancel or postpone this meetup if we deem conditions unsafe for any reason.

CLIMB & DANCE NIGHT @ SALT LAKE BOULDERING PROJECT – THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3! 🧗🏳️🌈✨

Climbing AND line dancing? It doesn't get much better than that! Join us this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. with The Salt Lick for an Intro to Climbing Class! At 7:30, we'll then let the experts at Salt Lick take over for an Intro to Line Dancing Class! There will also be some light refreshments!

AFFINITY GROUP COLLAB CLIMB NIGHT & ADAPTIVE FUNDRAISER @ THE FRONT SLC – THURSDAY, AUGUST 13! 🏳️🌈🧗

From regarding the meetup: "All proceeds will go to our Paraclimbing Fundraiser. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money for The Front's Paraclimbing Team in the form of athlete scholarships!
