Meet our Board President, Abi Beer! You know her, you love her!
Abi, originally a Minnesota native, spent most of her adult life in Colorado. She graduated from the University of Denver with two bachelor degrees in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Spanish. During college, she obtained a real estate license, and opened up her own brokerage firm in Colorado where she has spent 20 years in the industry. She has just opened her brokerage firm in Idaho, and is looking to continuing her real estate career in Lemhi County! Abi moved to Salmon four years ago, and continues to enjoy the community and meeting new people! Abi will be finishing her 2nd term on the Greater Salmon Valley Chamber of Commerce this Spring, and currently serves as the President of the board. In her free time she loves to scuba dive, golf, play hockey, and float the Salmon River! She is eager to work alongside her fellow board members to continue providing a collaborative networking approach to business owners and their interaction with our community. She is looking forward to serving the Chamber for another two years!

Member Monday:
Sacajawea Center
This week we’re spotlighting the Sacajawea Center, dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Sacajawea and the Agai’dika Shoshone-Bannock people. Their mission is to interpret the rich cultural and natural history of the Salmon and Lemhi River country, deepening connections to the unique role this area played in our nation’s story — shaped by Sacajawea and the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

The Center was established by the City of Salmon as a place of learning, reflection, and community gathering. In 2001, the Sacajawea Interpretive, Cultural & Educational Center opened its doors, built on land that was once the traditional homeland of the Agai’dika Shoshone-Bannock, from which they were forcibly removed in 1907. Today, the Center continues to honor those contributions through exhibits, trails, and educational programs that bring history to life for all ages

As proud Chamber members, the Sacajawea Center embodies stewardship, storytelling, and cultural pride. Their work ensures that Sacajawea’s legacy — and the voices of her people — remain central to Salmon’s identity and future.

📣 A note from the Chamber’s Executive Director: Each summer, I’m asked by countless visitors about the Sacajawea Center. It’s one of Salmon’s most treasured destinations, and I love seeing how it connects people to our history while inspiring them to explore the rest of our community.
