Brushy Community Initiative - Brushy Cherokee Community Building We are a volunteer group through the Brushy Community Building that gives back to the elders of the community of Brushy and surronding areas.

Happy Friday everyone! We will be doing our next community day in August. We are still working on a for sure date, but we will be helping with cleaning and sorting boxes in an out building for an older couple. If you’d like to help out or know someone who needs some volunteer hours, please let us know! We will get a for sure date set soon 😊

We hope you all have had a fantastic weekend! We are wanting to hear from you. What are always thinking of new ways to help serve our elders and would love to hear of some ideas! This will help us gather info and give us a few options to start brainstorming on how to introduce new services that we can offer to our community.

Happy Saturday everyone! We will be taking request for May till Friday the 8th. Our services are set to help elders in the community. We look forward to helping you! 😊

Good morning everyone! Unfortunately it looks like the weather for tomorrow is going to push our community day back. We will check the calendar and let you all know soon what day we will reschedule to.

We will meet on Saturday at 9:00 in the Brushy School gym parking lot for our community day. There is a chance of rain, as we get closer to Saturday we will let everyone know if we have to change the date.

Our next work day will be on Saturday, April 4th! This will be a great chance to get in those volunteer hours! We will get our time set and let you know all know this week!

Hellooooo everyone!! It looks like the cold cold weather is over and we are starting to warm up a little so we are now taking applications for March! We will accept applications till March 7th! If you are a senior citizen or know of one that is need of assistance with outside work, tree trimming, etc please send us a message!

Happy new year everyone! We will be taking a break the month of January, but will be back in action come February. This will allow us time to get some goals together for this year and for request to come in. Stay safe and warm everyone!
