We would like to send a sincere congratulations to our Lead Student Ambassador and Parkside High School Senior, Leah Kriger. Leah has poured more than 1,000 volunteer hours for MiM over the years. She was also the very first person to raise $1,000 to our Founding 50 fundraiser and has been a vital part of our organization since she was little.
MiM was able to give Leah a scholarship last evening and she was awarded tonight with the Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow Student award from Parkside High School.
Leah, we are all so proud of your hard work and wish you the absolute best as you prepare for college in the fall!

Special thank you to the Rockawalkin Ruritan Organization for welcoming Minds in Motion Children’s Museum as your special guest last evening.
Our President, Vira Ogburn, alongside Lead Student Ambassadors Rowan Ogburn and Pheonie Zhang, shared a brief presentation about how MiM began, where we are today, and what it means to volunteer with our organization.
At the close of the meeting, Rockawalkin Ruritan generously presented MiM with a donation to help send several campers to our Power Up STEM Camp this summer.
Your kindness and support will make a meaningful impact on these children and their learning experiences. Thank you again!

We’re so excited that our fearless board leaders, Vira Ogburn and Dr. Melanie Kerber, are attending this year’s ACM Interactivity Conference! Not only are they there to learn and grow, but they’ll also be collaborating with two other children’s museums to present on tackling a wide range of important issues that are all behind the scenes of building a children museum.

As lead Student Ambassadors, Pheonie and I would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Hot Chocolate 5K! We were thrilled to have a dozen student volunteers from local schools helping make the event a success. Despite the extremely cold temperatures, we had so much fun talking with many of you about the museum and cheering you on along the course.

We are especially grateful to Mayor Taylor for joining us, showing support for the event, and sharing his enthusiasm for future collaborations with the museum. Events like this truly highlight the power of community, and we are so thankful to everyone who helped make the day so special. -Leah
