Students made pinwheels for their last day of Power Up Camp to demonstate wind energy.

Kids learned that damage to fish comes from algae blooms, human behavior, nitrates, and/or litter in the water, especially plastic bags. In addition, the number of pleasure boats in the bay & ocean far outnumber the boats that would transport workers to the work site.

We recapped with a pizza party too! Thank you all that participated for this year’s camp experience!

Mondays recap: field trip to Calvert cliffs was a blast. We searched for shark teeth and ended the trip with delicious chic fila!

We would like to send a sincere congratulations to our Lead Student Ambassador and Parkside High School Senior, Leah Kriger. Leah has poured more than 1,000 volunteer hours for MiM over the years. She was also the very first person to raise $1,000 to our Founding 50 fundraiser and has been a vital part of our organization since she was little.
MiM was able to give Leah a scholarship last evening and she was awarded tonight with the Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow Student award from Parkside High School.
Leah, we are all so proud of your hard work and wish you the absolute best as you prepare for college in the fall!
