Dear Business Owners and Community Partners,
Salisbury Urban Ministries is excited to bring our community together for a Trunk or Treat & Jam with DJ T-Dome on October 23rd from 4:00–6:00 PM.
We are reaching out to local businesses and community partners to invite you to be a part of this special event for families in our community.
There are several ways your business can participate:
🍬 Donate candy to help make the event possible.
🚗 Decorate a trunk and join in the fun.
📋 Set up a table to share information about your business, organization, or community resources.
This event is about more than just Trunk or Treat. One of our goals is to connect with families and learn more about the needs in our community. We will have a Salisbury Urban Ministries table where families can share their thoughts and let us know about resources, services, and support that would be helpful to them.
The information we gather will help us better understand our community and plan future programs, services, and partnerships.
Salisbury Urban Ministries is always grateful for donations and community support—not just for this event, but throughout the year. Every donation, participation, and connection helps us serve people, strengthen families, and build a stronger community.

At Salisbury Urban Ministries, we see neighbors every week who are doing their best to make ends meet… people whose circumstances may never be obvious to those around them.

You won’t see their faces in this video. That’s intentional.

We believe that needing help should never cost someone their dignity. We don’t need to photograph someone’s most vulnerable moment to prove that their need is real.

What we can show you is the work. The people who show up. The food that comes in. The resources that go out. And the commitment to be here when one of our neighbors needs us.

But being here takes all of us.

💚 SUM IN THE COMMUNITY: A 60s CELEBRATION! 🕺🏽💃🏽

What a beautiful time we had connecting with the residents of Sunny Meadows Senior Apartment Community! 🌟

Salisbury Urban Ministries had the pleasure of collaborating with Ms. Katrina Harris to bring the residents a fun-filled 60s-themed dance, and we truly enjoyed every moment! From the music and laughs to the yummy hors d’oeuvres and AMAZING photo opportunities, it was an afternoon filled with joy, connection, and community. 📸✨

But this gathering was about more than just having a good time. 💚 It was also an opportunity for SUM to listen to our community.

We spent time talking with residents, asking questions, learning about their needs, and hearing directly from them about how we can do a better job of serving and supporting them. We also shared information about the resources and services available through Salisbury Urban Ministries, including our Lazarus Food Pantry and other community support programs.

We believe outreach starts with listening. When we take the time to meet people where they are, hear their experiences, and build genuine relationships, we can better understand how to show up for our community.

A HUGE thank you to Ms. Katrina Harris and the Sunny Meadows community for welcoming us with open arms! We laughed, danced, ate, connected, and most importantly—built relationships. ❤️

We can't wait to continue finding ways to show up, listen, serve, and grow together.

This is community. This is connection. This is SUM.

God Keeps on blessing us to be a blessing to others!! We are in the last 30 mins of our Thursday Pantry Day! If you are in the area and in need PLEASE stop on by . We are also introducing our “SUM Recipe Cards” see what you can chef up! These cards have curated recipes with ingredients that are inside of our pantry bags!

Salisbury Urban Ministries God's Kitchen will be serving lunch today at Grace Church on E. Church Street from 11 a.m.- - 12:30 p.m. We want to thank the COMMUNITY CHURCH OF OCEAN PINES for coming and supporting the needs of our community. We appreciate YOU!!!!
