✨ **A NEW CHAPTER OF SERVICE!** ✨

Hello to all! My name is Ro’Landa Foreman & I’m so excited and honored to officially introduce myself as the **Assistant Food Pantry Coordinator & Community Engagement Coordinator with Salisbury Urban Ministries (SUM)!** ❤️

Today was my first opportunity to represent SUM out in the community, and what a way to start! I had the pleasure of attending the **Community Outreach & Senior Safety Awareness Day**, organized by the amazing **Ms. Latisha Brasby and The Healing Forward Foundation**.

Today was about more than simply showing up — it was about **connecting, listening, and learning what our community needs.** We connected with so many local residents and seniors, listened to their concerns, assessed their needs, and shared information about how Salisbury Urban Ministries can help.

And the response was AMAZING! 🙌🏾

💚 **20+ potential pantry sign-ups**
💚 Several potential new pantry donors
💚 Meaningful conversations with local residents and seniors
💚 New connections that can help us better serve our community

I’ll be following up with everyone on Monday to learn more about their needs and determine exactly how SUM can assist and connect them with the appropriate resources.

A HUGE thank you to **Ms. Latisha Brasby The Healing Forward Foundation** for putting together such a beneficial event for the Salisbury community and our seniors. Your commitment to bringing resources, awareness, and support directly to the people who need it is truly appreciated. **Awesome work!** 👏🏾💜

I’m incredibly excited about this new chapter and the opportunity to serve, connect, listen, and help create meaningful change right here in Salisbury.

This is just the beginning! 🙏🏾

Salisbury Urban Ministries God's Kitchen will be serving lunch today from 11 am - 12:30 p.m. at Grace Church on E. Church Street. We want to thank the WELL CHURCH for supporting our ministry in serving the needs of our community! Your time and efforts do not go unnoticed. ..... THANK YOU!

Salisbury Urban Ministries was honored to have BEAVER RUN TEACHERS take a tour of our facility and learn about the many programs we offer. As teachers, they were excited to learn about the Kid's Cafe Program and recognized the names of our students as some of been mentored by them. We appreciate these teachers taking the time to learn about our programs that provide resources for their students and families. We loved having you this morning and wish you a fabulous school year!

This Saturday, August 22nd from 11 am - 2 pm, Grace Church will be sponsoring a NEIGHBORHOOD BARBECUE in the church parking lot at 635 E. Church Street.
This annual event is hosted by LeMeche Lodge, St. Luke UM Church, Faith Baptist Youth and Grace Methodist Church.
Also, Salisbury Urban Ministries Kid's Cafe will have a table set up to welcome any new children that are in need of afterschool care. Our class limit is 13 ....so hurry over to their table to see what is available.

We want to thank all of the volunteers and staff that are putting this event together and working to meet the needs of our community.

This past Tuesday… Salisbury Urban Ministries had their monthly delivery from the Maryland Food Bank. We were once again blessed with the pastor, youth leader and teenagers that helped us unload our food.
 We have been so blessed to have young people join us in volunteering this summer. Thank you, ASBURY CHURCH for giving of your time and leadership.
 We truly enjoyed spending time with you this summer and pray that these young people have a tremendous school year ahead of them!
