The mission of the scholarship is to provide financial aid to South Rowan High School graduates & Western Carolina School of Music students pursuing music majors. We are dedicated to preserving the legacy of Camden William Cohick, a cherished graduate of South Rowan High School and a passionate trombonist. Despite Camden's premature departure, his love for music continues to inspire us. Rooted in

the belief that "When words fail, music speaks," our scholarship aims to support future musicians, fostering a legacy of hope and resilience. Through financial aid for graduates of South Rowan High School and students at the Western Carolina School of Music pursuing music majors, we strive to empower aspiring musicians. Additionally, we are committed to promoting mental health awareness and su***de prevention within the music community, recognizing the critical importance of emotional well-being for artists. Join us in our mission to create a future where musicians feel supported and empowered, free from fear and stigma. Together, we advocate for mental health awareness, working towards making music a universal language of healing.

We started Camden Cohick’s Love of Music Scholarship so that who he was, his kindness, his talent, his light, could continue to live on through young musicians who need a little help to chase their dreams.
