Youth Center
We provide a safe environment for young people with after-school care, tutoring, and character-building programs. During the summer months, we provide day camp and residential camp experiences.
Most of the children that participate in our youth programs are considered at-risk. Many of their parents or guardians are working evenings so these children have little or no supervision at their homes. This is where The Salvation Army Youth Club comes in. Our youth club provides a safe place to hang out after school. We have a game room and 2 gyms where kids can play, provide classrooms where they can receive homework help and provide a variety of programs that build character, stress the importance of teamwork and cooperation, and teach athletic skills and life lessons. Our youth club has served the youth of our area for over 80 years.
