🦷Celebrating Oral Health Month: Smiles That Make a Difference!🦷

This Oral Health Month, we’re celebrating the power of community, compassion, and access to dental care. 💙

In March 2026, our community came together for the Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy— a special event that happens only once every two years. Over two incredible days, 1,176 patients were served by 938 volunteers. Community partners worked together to provide care, education, and brighter smiles for those who attended.

We are grateful for everyone who helped make this event a success — from the dedicated dental teams who donated their time and expertise to the volunteers and supporters who helped bring this mission to life.

A healthy smile is an important part of overall health, and we’re proud to continue raising awareness about the importance of regular dental care, prevention, and oral health education.

This year, 938 volunteers gave their time and energy to make the clinic run smoothly and support everyone who came for care.

Because of them, we were able to serve 1,250 patients, providing important dental services to our community.

Gum disease, cavities, and oral infections can impact your heart, immune system, and overall well-being. Taking just a few minutes each day to brush, floss, and care for your teeth can make a lifelong difference.

This weekend was a true team effort.

Over the past couple of days, the clinic was full of movement; patients being seen, teams working side by side, and volunteers stepping in wherever they were needed. It took a lot of hands to make it all run, and a lot of heart to keep it going.

Volunteers came from all over, worked long hours, and did whatever was needed to make sure patients were cared for. It wasn’t always easy, but the impact was real.

We’re really grateful for every person who played a part in the 2026 Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy dental clinic, it doesn’t happen without you.
