The Heal Our Bodies(HOB)
campaign has a primary mission to not only improve health outcomes for minority males, but to also improve access to health services. The vision of HOB is to provide resources to underserved males in the community to address access issues to include health screenings and ongoing education focused on - sexual
ly transmitted diseases (STD), cancer, diabetes, wellness & mental health. The Heal Our Minds (HOM)
campaign will decrease the number of minority males dropping out of school by utilizing academic support services. Aimed at school aged males, the goal of HOM is to link participants with academic mentors to improve performance in the classroom. The HOM campaign has a primary purpose of ensuring 100% of its participants graduate high school on time and gain acceptance into college. The Heal Our Families (HOF)
campaign understands the importance of proper family structure, as a result HOF was created to address the disparities that exist in minority families lacking adequate fatherly support. In order to create healthy relationships between father, mother, & child, HOF will offer a fatherhood success academy. The academy will be a 4 week intensive training session that will provide tools for fathers and expectant fathers in key areas needed to ensure fatherhood success.
