As demand for clean materials in products grows from consumers, manufacturers are answering with sustainable, safe American-grown soybeans.

By choosing soy, manufacturers are able to replace harmful inputs with safer, homegrown ones in things like adhesives, foam, bioplastics, and lubricants.

It’s finally June which means it's time to celebrate National Dairy Month!

Soybeans and dairy go hand in hand as soybeans deliver a highly digestible source of protein and essential amino acids that fuel growth, muscle development, and immune health in animals. Its consistent quality and energy profile makes it a reliable, cost-effective foundation for balanced feed.

The Maryland Soybean Board, along with and , are excited to announce the deployment of six trucks powered by 100% biodiesel (B100) to transport chicken across the Mid-Atlantic region.

“For Maryland soybean farmers, this project shows how locally grown crops can play a direct role in real‑world transportation and sustainability solutions,” said Eddie Boyle, Chair of the Maryland Soybean Board. “It creates new demand for soybeans while supporting cleaner transportation and stronger connections between farmers and the food system.”

On Friday, May 29th, Maryland Soybean Board Directors and other stakeholders attended an Open House at Perdue Farm in Salisbury to celebrate the announcement. Guests heard remarks from Perdue Farms and the Maryland Soybean Board before being able to see the trucks first hand.

With farmers working long hours during this busy season, the Maryland Soybean Board continues to warn motorists to slow down and stay alert on the roads.

In a recent article, Maryland soybean farmer, Kelsey Stabler, reminds motorists not to underestimate the size and weight of farm equipment, “They’re going to take up more than their lane of traffic, and they can’t stop on a dime because they're so heavy.”

More than 235 collisions involving farm equipment have been reported between 2020 and 2024, according to the Maryland State Highway Administration. The majority have happened between spring planting and fall harvest.
