Meet our March YP Spotlight!

🌟 Cole Gismondi: REALTOR®, The Payne Team with RE/MAX Advantage 🌟

Cole Gismondi grew up on the Eastern Shore before leaving in 2016 to serve in the United States Navy. In 2017, he was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia aboard the USS Stout (DDG‑55) as a Cryptologic Technician. During his time in the Navy, Cole quickly rose through the ranks from E-2 to E-6 in just four years, earning two Navy Achievement Medals and serving as the Leading Petty Officer of his division during his final two years aboard the ship.

Cole accumulated nearly three years of sail time and deployed to the Persian Gulf during the height of the COVID pandemic from January through October 2020. During this deployment, he and his shipmates aboard the USS Stout set a record for continuous days at sea-215 days.

After completing his time aboard the ship, Cole continued his service as an instructor for the Information Warfare Training Group in 2022, teaching Electronic Warfare divisions in Norfolk, Virginia and Mayport, Florida. In 2023, he also earned his Virginia Real Estate license, beginning the next chapter of his professional career.

Today, Cole has returned home to the Eastern Shore with his wife, Whitney, and their son, Jameson. While his form of service has changed, his commitment to helping others remains the same. Cole now serves the community as a Realtor licensed in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia with The Payne Team at RE/MAX Advantage. He works with families and individuals who are purchasing their first home or looking to upgrade to a new space that better fits their needs.

Cole has found great fulfillment in being back on the Shore, spending more time with his family, and helping others achieve their real estate goals.

Meet our February YP Spotlight!
Ryan Johnson: Commercial Insurance Producer, Avery Hall

Ryan Johnson is a Commercial Insurance Producer at Avery Hall, where he works closely with businesses to understand their risks and provide tailored insurance solutions that support long-term success. Through his role, Ryan is committed to relationship-building, strategic thinking, and a strong commitment to serving the local business community.

Ryan joined the Salisbury Young Professionals Leadership Committee in January of 2024 and has quickly become an integral part of the organization. He currently serves as Vice Chair and is especially passionate about strengthening connections between the Young Professionals and local colleges and universities. His focus on student engagement and retention reflects his dedication to keeping talented graduates here on the Eastern Shore and helping them build meaningful careers within our community.

Through both his professional role at Avery Hall and his leadership within the YPs, Ryan continues to make a positive impact by connecting people, supporting businesses, and investing in the future of our community.

On Monday our Marketing Chair Journey Smith-Wilson had the opportunity to talk to the Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG) Society and the Business & Creative Arts Club Wor-Wic Community College about being a Young Professional.

Wonderful group of students and we hope to see them exceed in their academic and professional careers!

The SACC and the Salisbury Young Professionals of SACC had the opportunity on February 9 to present to Wor-Wic Community College’s Alpha Beta Gamma (ABG) Society and the Business & Creative Arts Club. We spoke with students about the importance and benefits of being a Chamber member, as well as the opportunities available to them through the Young Professionals committee as they enter the workforce.

⛳️ Thank You for a Great Day on the Course!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for our first Joint Young Professionals Golf Outing with the Young Professionals of Ocean City, MD! We had a great turnout and beautiful weather. The day was a spent networking, laughing, and enjoying some friendly competition.

Special thanks to Ocean Resorts Golf Club for hosting us and making the day such a success.
