Shore Pride Alliance meets the 2nd Monday of the month, 6:30-8pm, at the UUFS, 2812 Old Ocean City Rd., Salisbury, Maryland. Like our page to stay connected.

Shore Pride Alliance focuses on education, support, and advocacy on behalf of all LGBTQIA+ people. All LGBTQIA+ people and their parents, friends, families, and allies are welcome. People from all backgrounds are welcome. We are an inclusive group. Meetings are the second Monday of the month, 6:30 - 8pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Salisbury, 2812 Old Ocean City Rd., Salisbury, MD. Off street parking is available.

This morning we learned that the Department of Veterans Affairs is eliminating gender-identity initiatives and reclassifying its LGBTQ+ Veteran Care Coordinators, changes that many veterans and advocates fear will make it harder for LGBTQ+ veterans to find affirming care.

We also saw headlines and clips from last night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where anti-trans and anti-gay remarks were part of the president’s speech.

“Is it safe for us here?”

At St. Paul’s by-the-Sea, we believe no one should have to ask that before walking through the doors of a church.

Every person is created in the image of God and deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and love. We believe the Church is called to be a place of refuge, healing, and hope…a place where all people know they are safe, seen, and deeply loved by God.

We will continue striving to be that kind of community, standing alongside those who have been marginalized and working to ensure that everyone who comes through our doors knows they belong.
