Today, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Patriot Day is a time to reflect on the strength, courage, and resilience that emerged in the face of tragedy. We are grateful for the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who continue to inspire us through their dedication and sacrifice.

As a community, let us come together in remembrance and gratitude.

Everyone knows what it feels like to be new. A new place. A new school. A new beginning.
During Welcoming Week, we’re reminded that belonging doesn’t just happen. It’s
something we create together. And at the Y, that’s what we’ve been doing for the past
175 years.

The school year is underway, and we want to wish all teachers a fantastic year ahead! 📚✨

You care for, teach, and inspire our children each day. At the Rowan-Cabarrus YMCA, we believe those who give so much deserve support, too. That's why we're proud to offer special membership pricing for employees of Cabarrus County Schools, Rowan/Salisbury Schools, Kannapolis City Schools, Cannon School, Concord Lake STEAM Academy and Bradford Preparatory School.

Thank you for your dedication to our students and our community. Here's to a healthy, happy, and successful school year!

📚☀️ Our Summer Campers Read Their Way Through Summer! ☀️📚

This summer, Rowan-Cabarrus YMCA campers didn't just have fun, make friends, and create memories...they became reading champions! 🎉

Together, our summer campers logged an incredible:

📖 844,344 Total Minutes Read
⏰ 14,072.4 Total Hours Read

That's over 14,000 hours spent reading, learning, imagining, and growing!

We are so proud of our campers for making reading a part of their summer adventure. Every page turned helps build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

👏 Let's give a big round of applause to all of our amazing campers and staff who made this accomplishment possible!

💙 Way to go, YMCA Summer Camp Readers!

🌭☀️ Celebrating a Successful Summer! ☀️🌭

After an incredible summer of serving our community, our full-time team came together for a well-deserved cookout to celebrate all that we accomplished together.

From welcoming new members and supporting families to leading programs, camps, classes, and community events, our mission comes to life because of the countless hours, passion, and dedication our staff pours into serving others every day.

We are incredibly grateful for this amazing team and the impact they make throughout our community. Thank you for helping create a place where everyone feels welcome, supported, and connected.

Here’s to a successful summer and all the positive change we’ve made together! ❤️💙
