Line of Duty Death Notification
The Lincoln Park Fire Fighters Local 1292 regret to announce the Line of Duty Death of Sgt. Adam Amrozi, who passed on July 19th. Sgt. Amrozi’s death has been classified as a Line of Duty Death, occurring while off shift, in recognition of the circumstances surrounding his passing and his dedicated service to the Lincoln Park Fire Department. Sgt. Amrozi honorably served our community for 22 years, demonstrating unwavering commitment, empathy, and courage throughout his career.
Funeral & Procession Details
Friday, July 24th

Emergency Vehicle Procession
All emergency vehicles wishing to participate must be in line by 08:30 at 10915 Allen Rd. Allen Park, Michigan.

Please report to the staging officer for instructions.
The procession will depart at 09:00.
The procession will arrive at 3200 West Rd. Trenton, Michigan, at approximately 09:45, where a respectful transfer into the funeral home will take place.
Viewing Schedule
11:00 – 12:00: Family-only viewing
12:00 – 19:00: Open viewing for the public
19:00: Ceremony starts

Last night, Lieutenant Brighton and Lieutenant Damon proudly represented our department at the Sudden Cardiac Survivor Celebration Dinner, hosted by the University of Michigan Health Frankel Cardiovascular Center.

This event honored the survivors, families, first responders, and medical professionals who all play a vital role in saving lives during cardiac emergencies. Together, they form the “Cardiac Chain of Survival” a powerful reminder of how teamwork and rapid, skilled care make all the difference.

We want to recognize Lt. Brighton and Lt. Damon for their outstanding prehospital care, professionalism, and commitment to the job. Their actions were a critical link in the chain that led to a successful outcome for a cardiac arrest patient.

Please join us in congratulating them on this well earned recognition and thanking them for their continued dedication to protecting and serving our community.

Last month, several of our firefighters completed a 40-hour Pump Operator course instructed by Lieutenant Gary Polenz. Training included classroom instruction and extensive hands-on evolutions covering pump operations, hydraulics, water supply, relay pumping, master streams, and troubleshooting common pump issues.

While the course benefited firefighters of all experience levels, it played an important role in preparing our new firefighters to safely and effectively operate fire apparatus on the fireground.

Thank you to Lt. Polenz for sharing his knowledge and helping develop the pump operators who will serve our department and community for years to come.

Please help us welcome our most recent hires, David Cox, Phillip Meck, and Chase Burton. David began his career with the department in February 2025, Phillip in August 2025, and Chase in January 2026, and each is currently working through their one-year probationary period.

We’re excited to watch them train, grow, and serve the Pittsfield Township community, and we look forward to supporting them as they build long careers in the fire service!
