Partnership for Children PFC provides transportation to medical appointments and family support for children living with serious illness on California's Central Coast.

Partnership for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children with serious illness and the families who care for them. We work alongside families across Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties to reduce stress, remove barriers to care, and bring moments of relief, stability, and joy during some of life’s most challenging times. Our programs focus on meeting real, ever

yday needs so families can focus on what matters most—their child’s health and well-being. Through safe and reliable transportation to medical appointments, financial assistance to help families remain housed and connected to utilities, monthly grocery support, and practical resources like diapers, car seats, and school supplies, we provide compassionate, wraparound support tailored to each family’s situation. Because every child deserves care—and every family deserves support.

Partnership for Children believes that all children living with serious illness should have access to the care and emotional support they need to live life as fully as possible. Our mission is to increase access to medical care for children living with serious illness and to support their families.

Our service area includes Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties in California.

We’re collecting new backpacks and school supplies for children and teens facing serious illness throughout Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties.

Every backpack and every pack of pencils helps ease one more burden for a family already navigating medical challenges. Together, we can make sure kids head back to school feeling prepared, supported, and cared for.

Meet Lizzie the Lizard! 🦎💚

Every office has that one employee who unexpectedly becomes everyone’s favorite…

Lizzie joined the Partnership for Children team after hitching a ride on a money tree from Florida, spending 19 days loose in our new office, and then settling into her forever habitat.

Now she’s our official office mascot! Between basking under her lights, climbing her favorite plants, and supervising staff meetings (from a safe distance, of course 😉), she’s become part of the PFC family.

We’re pretty sure she thinks she runs the office… and honestly, she might be right.
