A local family of 5 that we have worked with for many years has fallen on some tough times. They lost their housing today and are now living out of their car. This is a family we have grown to love…with 3 hardworking boys in our local schools. Our generous donors have provided a motel for the night and we are storing some of their possessions that didn’t fit in their storage. We are looking for a few people willing to prepare meals that we can deliver to them. Providing a meal for a family that is living in a hotel or their car offers both nourishment and a moment of comfort during a challenging time. A warm, nutritious meal, paired with thoughtful kindness, can help alleviate immediate hunger and remind the family that they are loved. Let us know if you would like to make a meal. We will pick it up and deliver it to them.

With the start of the new school year, requests from teachers start pouring in. Many families are struggling financially and students feel embarrassed to go back to school with clothes that don’t fit or are worn out. We would love to bless these local students in our community. We can also take donations of gently used clothing and always accept school supplies. Please join us in praying for all students and educators in our community as they go back to school!

“Lord, we lift up the students and educators in our community. Give the students minds that are eager to learn. Give them courage to ask good questions, confidence to take risks, and the discipline to focus and study. We pray for quality friendships and safety in and out of the classroom. We ask for blessings upon our educators, the men and women who have committed to invest in the next generation. Give them discernment and wisdom to see each student’s unique abilities and gifts. Multiply their preparation and may their plans be fruitful. Fill their days with moments of wonder.
