S.T.A.R. Foundation of Monterey County is preparing for the 2013-14 granting season and the deadline for receiving applications is fast approaching. If you are a community theater organization or school with a theater program in Monterey County, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance through a S.T.A.R. Foundation grant. For those of you who shared the magic or missed it either of the first two times, the S.T.A.R. Foundation will be holding its third and final recital of 2011 on December 17th, once again at Hidden Valley. The much sought-after mezzo-soprano Susanne Mentzer and world-renowned Wagnerian soprano Linda Watson will be taking the stage for yet another night of vocal artistry (details in the link above).

Coloratura soprano Cyndia Sieden delivered a dazzling and heart-felt recital with her accomplished pianist, Judith Cohen, at Hidden Valley Music Seminars Saturday, October 29, 2011.
