Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries

Foundation for Monterey County Free Libraries A nonprofit charity in support of Monterey County Free Libraries "Opening windows to a larger world"

Mission and Goals

Children who read at an early age and who do so regularly for pleasure are more likely to grow up healthy, caring and responsible. With that in mind, The Foundation for Monterey County provides funding to selected programs of the Monterey County Free Libraries. The Foundation supports a wide variety of library programs to improve literacy and provide equal access to information

for all county residents. The Foundation is a nonprofit charity supported by individuals, community groups and other foundations that collectively appreciate the wonder, the power and the joy of reading.
