Loaves, Fishes and Computers (LFC) mission is to help overcome the digital and economic divides by providing low-cost or no-cost computer systems, technology assistance and computer repair to low-income families, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities, and non-profit organizations, while providing volunteers a place to learn, share & grow in the field of Computer Science & Information Technology.

💻🌟 FREE COMPUTER CLASSES FOR SENIORS IN WATSONVILLE! 🌟💻

Are you 60 or older and interested in learning how to use technology with confidence? Join LFC for a FREE hands-on digital literacy workshop designed specifically for seniors!

📅 Workshop Dates: June 9, 11, 22 & 23
⏰ Time: 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
📍 Location: Watsonville Community Center, 114 E. 5th Street, Watsonville

During these workshops, you'll learn:
✅ How to use a computer
✅ How to stay safe online
✅ How to create documents
✅ Basic digital skills for everyday life
✅ And much more!

🌟 SIEDI Partner Win: Creating Pathways to Opportunity 🌟

At LFC, we believe that digital skills, workforce development, and community partnerships can change lives.

Through our partnership with the Salinas Inclusive Economic Development Initiative (SIEDI) and local employers, participants gained valuable career readiness skills, increased confidence, and access to employment opportunities.

📈 Program Highlights:
✅ 37 individuals received workforce services
✅ 11 participants secured employment
✅ 8 participants were hired at Joby
✅ 92% hire rate among participants who completed interviews
✅ Participants reported a 25% increase in career readiness confidence
✅ Joby hires experienced an average 98% increase in annual salary

These outcomes demonstrate what is possible when nonprofits, employers, and community partners work together to create meaningful opportunities for local residents.

Loaves, Fishes & Computers is incredibly grateful to the Pebble Beach Company Foundation for their generous $7,500 grant award supporting our AI-Focused Internet & Social Media Safety Workshops for Students & Youth. 💻🤖

This funding will help us provide students with hands-on education focused on:

🌸 Celebrating Women & Digital Inclusion 💻✨
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the incredible women in our community who are building confidence and new opportunities through technology.

At Loaves, Fishes & Computers, about 65% of participants in our digital literacy classes are women. Many are mothers, caregivers, small business owners, and seniors learning how to use computers, communicate online, stay safe on the internet, and access essential services.

For many, these classes open doors—helping them support their families, stay connected with loved ones, and feel confident navigating today’s digital world.

When women gain access to technology and digital skills, the impact reaches far beyond one person. It strengthens families and helps our entire community grow.

Today we celebrate the strength, curiosity, and determination of the women we serve across Monterey County. 💙

En este Día Internacional de la Mujer, celebramos a las increíbles mujeres de nuestra comunidad que están generando confianza y nuevas oportunidades a través de la tecnología.

En LFC, alrededor del 65 % de los participantes en nuestras clases de alfabetización digital son mujeres. Muchas son madres, cuidadoras, propietarias de pequeñas empresas y personas mayores que aprenden a utilizar computadoras, comunicarse en línea, mantenerse seguras en Internet y acceder a servicios esenciales.
