In collaboration with Caltrans and the City of Salinas, the Arts Council for Monterey County (Arts4MC) invites California-based artists or artist teams to submit a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to create and install three (3) large-scale murals on underpasses of Highway 101 at Alisal, Market, and Sanborn Road, in the Alisal neighborhood of Salinas. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆, 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀.

Q’vo raza!!! This is an important opportunity to get in on the City's process of implementing improvements to our "existing conditions"

Needed improvements to:
• Our neglected parks
• Broken up sidewalks forcing stroller pushing and wheelchair-bound residents to move through the streets
• Placing street lights in poorly lit neighborhoods
• Much needed trash cans
• Beautification (greening, flower and tree planting, painted electric boxes, murals)
