Las Estrellas Del Valle Announcement – Event Cancelled
To our valued riders, wranglers, committee members, volunteers and vendors:
After careful consideration, we have decided to err on the side of safety and cancel the 2021 LEDV ride schedule for April 23-25, 2021. This is a very difficult decision, as after a rich thirty-year history, this was to be the final ride and certainly, quite a party.
There is a Limited Stay Home Order put in place on November 21, 2020 that states that in counties in the widespread (purple) tier, Californians must stay home between 10:00pm and 5:00am. Non-essential businesses are required to close between the same hours. This Order also restricts gatherings of more than 3 households.
Limiting mixing and movement of individuals from different households is critical in order to stop the transmission of the virus. All activities are higher-risk now in California based on the level of community spread we are currently seeing. By staying home, we are limiting exposure and interrupting the chain of transmission.

We are so thankful for all of the great memories and relationships built over the years, the generous way that every participant cared for their community and the incredible ranch owners and vendors that made this event possible. The event may be gone, but the cause it has supported for so many years, our population’s health, is still very much a community need. We will continue to dream and build, and humbly ask for your continued confidence and support as we evolve into new fundraising activities.
Thank you for everything. Always.
Be well,
Jeff Wardwell
