**A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR COMMUNITY! ❤️**

First and foremost, we want to sincerely thank everyone who showed up, spoke up, sent messages, shared our posts, and supported us during today’s public hearing regarding our -Use Permit application for concerts-.

We truly saw and felt the support from our community, and we cannot thank you enough. It meant more to us than we can put into words.

Yesterday's hearing didn’t go exactly as we had hoped. Some concerns were raised regarding **sound levels** and the varying attendance numbers for the different types of events we host.

The good news is that we now have an opportunity to work directly with County staff to clarify some of the language in our application and provide additional information regarding sound levels. Our goal is to address those concerns and hopefully provide the Planning Commission with the information they need to move forward.

Several neighbors did speak in opposition to the *concerts specifically*, while also expressing that they did not have concerns with our other events. While we would have loved unanimous support, we see that as encouraging and as an opportunity to continue working together as neighbors and as a community.

We were also incredibly grateful to see such a strong turnout from our members, friends, and community supporters.

Unfortunately, because the hearing before ours ran much longer than expected, our application was not heard until almost **11:00 AM**. We especially want to apologize to those who came to support us but had to leave early because of work, family responsibilities, or other time commitments.

**Please know that your presence mattered. Your support mattered. And we felt every bit of it.**

Our public hearing has now been continued, giving us time to address the questions that were raised and come back better prepared.

This isn’t over — we’re continuing to work through the process, listen to concerns, and do everything we can to move forward in a way that works for both our organization and our community.

We are now just days away from an important hearing regarding the Monterey County Sheriff’s Posse and our ability to continue hosting the concerts that help fund so much of what we give back to our community.

The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m., and we expect our matter will most likely be heard around 9:30 a.m.

After four years of working toward this moment, having members of our community there to support us would truly mean a great deal.

These concerts allow the Posse to continue supporting youth rodeos, local 4-H groups, community events, college scholarships, and the preservation of our western heritage here in Monterey County.
