United Way Monterey County Our mission is to engage the community and focus resources to improve lives in Monterey County. Remove any of these building blocks and the other two topple.

We work collaboratively with local businesses, governments, and nonprofits to tackle critical issues in the community. In any community, education, income, and health are the building blocks for opportunity – individually and collectively. Education is essential to getting and keeping a good job with a wage that can sustain a family and has health benefits. An income that can cover today and save for tomorrow builds a family’s solid foundation. Good health helps children stay on track at school and adults be productive at work. Build them all up and you have a cornerstone for individual and community prosperity.

Through financial education workshops, families are gaining the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions. Participants are engaging in meaningful conversations, asking questions, and exploring practical ways to manage credit, reduce debt, and strengthen their financial stability.

To extend these opportunities to more families, United Way Monterey County equips trusted community partners with the tools and resources to lead financial education workshops in their own communities.

Esto se conoce como corte de energía por motivos de seguridad pública o PSPS. 211 PSPS Care Coordination conecta a los clientes de servicios públicos con necesidades funcionales y de acceso, como discapacidades, transporte limitado u otras condiciones de asistencia que residen en áreas de alto riesgo de incendio, con recursos valiosos antes, durante y después de un PSPS. United Way Monterey County's new Financial Empowerment Center (FEC) is helping people build stronger financial futures! By bringing together financial education, personalized coaching, homeownership resources, and small business support, the FEC connects individuals and families with the tools and guidance they need to achieve greater financial stability.

We're looking for two passionate individuals to help bring this work to life!

**Financial Counselor (Full-Time):** Provide one-on-one financial coaching and guidance to help individuals and families achieve their financial goals.

**FEC Navigator (Full-Time):** Connect people with resources, services, and ongoing support as they work toward greater financial stability.
