Natividad Foundation is selling Charity Drawing tickets for a chance to win a 2022 Genesis G70 3.3T Sport RWD Launch Edition at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance®

(SALINAS, Calif.) - Natividad Foundation is selling tickets through August 19 for a chance to win a 2022 Genesis G70 3.3T Sport RWD Launch Edition at the 2022 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® Charity Drawing. Genesis donated the luxury vehicle, valued at $52,750.

“We are honored and grateful to be chosen to be part of this important community fundraiser,” said Natividad Foundation President & CEO Jennifer Williams. “Every ticket purchased for the chance to win this 2022 Genesis helps Natividad give every baby and child the very best care.”

Natividad Foundation is one of the participating charities chosen for this year’s Charity Drawing. This is the twenty-fourth year Natividad Foundation has partnered with the Pebble Beach

Concours d’Elegance® for the drawing. Since the Concours began in 1950, it has raised more than $32 million for charity.

Charity Drawing tickets are $100 each, and 100% of the sales proceeds – up to $200,000 this year! – benefits Natividad Foundation. The drawing for the car takes place at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance® on Sunday, August 21. Ticket buyers need not be present to win. Natividad Foundation keeps every dollar raised through its ticket sales and is designating all funds for Natividad’s babies and children, including the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Mother-Infant, Labor & Delivery, Pediatric Units and the Emergency Department.

Every year, Natividad delivers 2,200 babies and nearly 300 premature or critically ill babies from throughout Monterey County receive lifesaving care in its NICU. Natividad’s NICU is the county’s only California Children’s Services-accredited Level III facility, which is the nation’s second-highest designation. The NICU provides specialized care close to home to a wide-range of infants with serious health conditions – from premature newborns that require help to breathe, to those with other serious illnesses.

Natividad is the only hospital in Monterey County providing pediatric hospitalists on staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The hospital cares for all pediatric conditions. As a Level II Trauma Center, Natividad helps save lives by stabilizing patients under 15 before transferring them to one of the Pediatric Trauma Centers in the Bay Area. Natividad’s NICU and Pediatric Departments are affiliated with University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Benioff Children’s Hospital.

Monterey County Fair Seeking Volunteers for 2022 Fair on Sept. 1-5



The Monterey County Fair is looking for volunteers for its 2022 Fair, set for Thursday through Monday, Sept. 1-5, 2022, at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center.



Volunteer shifts are typically four hours. For each four hours worked, volunteer will receive a free fair admission ticket. Community service hours given for high school students who need to fulfill this requirement.



Volunteer orientation is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17 in the Seaside Room at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center, 2004 Fairground Road in Monterey. Receiving days are Sunday, Aug. 21 and August 29th and exhibit building hosts are needed during all Fair hours from September 1-5.

SALINAS, CA. (June 14, 2022) — Kontrena McPheter, as the old saying goes, not only walks the walk, she talks the talk — about her struggles with drugs, mental illness, homelessness, sexual trauma, excessive weight, and her triumph over those daunting challenges.



McPheter, who goes by the nickname “Trena,” has walked a treacherous path in her five-decade-long life, but she feels she has emerged much better, healthier both mentally and physically, confident and filled with hope, an emotion that has been in short supply during most of her life.

She credits Interim, Inc. for most of those successes, not just the Interim programs that helped her get off the wrong path to another more rewarding one, but especially the people who have helped, supported, and encouraged her along the way.
