Our book sale is this week! Whether you stop by on Thursday for Friends Members Nite or on the weekend, you should know the following tips to get the most out of the sale.
1. This will be a CASH ONLY sale, so stop by the ATM before heading to the library. (We are working on offering credit card sales but aren't quite there yet)

2. If you renew or become a new member Oct. 18-25 during National Friends of the Library Week, you will automatically be entered to win an Amazon Fire!

3. Pricing is $2 for hardback books, $1 for paperbacks, DVDs 6 for $5, audio CDs, music CDs, and games $1.

I'm pretty sure there's a book on our shelves that is calling your name! See you soon!

Don't miss our November First Friday event! The Friends of Baldwin Library raised $25,000 from memberships in 2026 in a community of less than 5,000 people. How did they do it? By thinking about what their members want and building a membership program to match. Yes, we give our members first crack at thousands of books at our book sales. If you are experiencing FOMO, just show up and become a Friends member at the door. We'll be expecting you!

Sign up for a 2-hour shift at our Book Sale next month! We need someone to help on Thurs., Oct. 22 between 4-6 pm, Sat., Oct. 24 between 10-3 pm, and Sun. Oct. 25 between 12-3.
Email us by Oct. 18, and we'll get you on the schedule!

CORRECTION: We can accept one box of books, per the Library's wishes.
For the first time in over a year, we can accept your donations! It all starts September 1. We especially need children's books (all reading levels) and adult fiction (all genres).
Don't forget: Our book sale is coming in late October!

The Friends of the Salina Public Library is an organization of volunteer members dedicated to providing visible support for Salina Public Library by raising and donating funds to the library, initiating and sponsoring activities and events, and providing volunteers for library activities.

The Youth Dept. at the library is open, and the Friend sale shelf is back in business! It won't be long before we can access the Friends' area. And you know book sales won't be far off! In the meantime, our sale shelves will see you through.
