📚 Our Salina Club Kids are diving into a world of Greek mythology, adventure, and imagination!

Our weekly Book Club is currently reading *Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief*! We're excited to see our members explore new stories, build their reading skills, and share their thoughts with friends along the way.

Shoutout to our September Youth of the Month, De'trique B.!

We are thrilled to announce De’trique B. as our September Youth of the Month! Throughout the month, our Club focused on the theme of respect. De’trique went above and beyond by explaining the importance of this value to his peers and consistently modeling what it means to be a truly respectful member and friend to everyone in our Club. Congratulations!

🏈 NFL Flag Football is here!

Our Club members hit the field this fall as part of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s partnership with the NFL and NFL FLAG!

Across the country, the program is introducing more than 100,000 Club kids to flag football — and our Salina Club Kids get to be part of it!

Through practices and games, our members are staying active, learning the game and building teamwork, confidence and sportsmanship along the way.

We’re excited to see what they can do this season, both on and off of the field! 🏈💙

Our Salina members are kicking off their fall programming with **Club Climate!** 💙

Club Climate is a BGCA program focused on creating a positive, welcoming environment where every young person feels safe, supported and like they belong.

Our members put that into action by sharing positive feedback, encouragement and little pick-me-ups with fellow Club members and Vision Leaders. It’s a simple activity with a big message: **the way we treat one another helps shape the kind of Club we want to be.**

📣 Students in **3rd–5th grade** can join us for the entire school year for just $100!

Come see what it means to belong at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Salina!

Last week, the Emergency Manager for Saline County stopped by the Club to give our members a look at what it’s like to plan and prepare for just about any emergency you can imagine — including severe weather!

Our members had a great time listening, interacting and, of course, asking every “what if?” scenario their minds could dream up.

We love welcoming community members into the Club to connect with our youth, share their expertise and introduce them to careers and experiences they may not otherwise get to explore. Thank you for spending time with our Club Kids!

Take one, leave one! 💬

Our Salina Club members spent the evening spreading a little positivity for everyone walking into Oakdale Elementary!

From “You are enough” to “Don’t forget to smile,” their sidewalk messages made one thing clear: our youth are all about spreading kindness, caring for others and helping create a place where everyone feels welcome.

Take a look through their graffiti of gratitude — then leave a little kindness of your own in the comments for us to share with our members! 💙

Meet our Youth of the Month, Junior!

This month, our Club members have been focusing on what it means to be welcoming, and Kelsy W.—better known as Junior at Club—has been showing us exactly what that looks like!

Whether he’s jumping into a program, playing with friends or making sure others feel included, Junior helps make our Club a place where everyone can feel like they belong. 💙

We’re proud of you, Junior! Keep being a great friend and a great Club Kid!
