🚿🧺 STILL NEED A HOT SHOWER OR CLEAN CLOTHES? HELP IS HERE. 🧺🚿

While many families are getting back to normal after the June 8 windstorm, some residents are still dealing with cleanup, repairs, and the lasting impacts of storm damage.

To support our community during recovery, Granny’s Alliance has extended its FREE shower and laundry services through June 27 for Saline County residents.

Whether you’re still without some essential services, helping with cleanup efforts, or simply need access to clean clothes and a hot shower, these resources remain available at no cost.

💙 Recovery doesn’t end when the lights come back on. For many families, the process continues for weeks. That’s why community support like this matters.

Please help spread the word by sharing this post. Someone in your network may need these services and not know they’re available.

Today, we celebrate freedom, honor resilience, and recognize the strength of those who came before us. Juneteenth serves as a reminder that freedom, opportunity, and justice are worth pursuing for everyone in our community.

At Salina Area United Way, we believe stronger communities are built when every person has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. As we commemorate this important day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect, learn, and celebrate the progress we've made while continuing the work ahead.

📌 Please note that our office will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

💡⚡ A huge THANK YOU to the Evergy crews, contractors, first responders, public works teams, and everyone working tirelessly to restore power across our region following Monday night’s severe storms.

The damage left behind by 110 mph winds has been significant, with hundreds of broken power poles, downed lines, and widespread outages affecting communities throughout central Kansas. Despite these challenges, crews have worked around the clock to restore power to the vast majority of impacted customers.

We know many Salina-area residents are still waiting for service to be restored, and we appreciate your patience as crews continue rebuilding critical infrastructure safely.

Please join us in thanking the men and women working long hours, often in difficult conditions, to help our communities recover. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. ❤️

Stay safe, continue to avoid downed power lines, and remember that restoration efforts are ongoing.
