Women Helping Women - A Fairy Godmother Fund Women Helping Women is a not-for-profit community of women and men quietly helping Saline County women and families who are struggling and may be in crisis.

Women Helping Women is a collection of Salina woman who pull together to give women in our community a "hand up." Working with community service agencies, we provide one-time, special purpose grants to Salina area women and their families. YOU can make a grant request: by working with DVAC, Salina Grace, Ashby House, Salina Food Bank, At Stake Ministries, CAPS, Independent Connection, Salina Adult Education Center, Salina Housing Authority, Salvation Army. Grants have been written for example: to buy tired for a car, or service an appliance, to help with dental bills, etc. YOUR agency can become a community partner with us. Please personal message us! YOU can make a gift to the Fund: WHW has established an endowed fund in the Greater Salina Community Foundation. Gifts to the fund are permanent, and income is used to make the annual grants. The larger the fund, the more grants we will be able to make. YOU can be a Fairy Godmother: by making a one-time $500 gift to the Endowment. Fair Godmothers are the backbone of the organization, making it possible to give generously year over year. YOU can invite a Tinkerbell: By making a gift of $250 on behalf of a woman under 30, you can open the door to a lifetime of service and women in leadership. The Greater Salina Community Foundation is a public charity. All gifts to the Women Helping Women Fund are tax deductible to the highest extent allowable by the Internal Revenue Service.

We are excited to share that fiscal year 25-26 was our best year yet! We set a new record - 14 more grants and $14,000 more dollars granted compared to our prior best!

We bestowed 88 grants for a total of almost $68,000. These included 6 appliances, 9 bed frames & mattresses, 55 car repairs and tires, 2 car seats, 4 home repairs & services, 2 lawyer fees, and 10 medical/dental fees.

Women Helping Women has one board position open. We are need of a special person who would be comfortable filling the Treasurer position. The term is up for the current Treasurer, who has greatly enjoyed filling this role and is happy to provide a good hand-off to a new Treasurer. Thanks to our Fairy Godmothers, other generous donors, and our partner agencies, we were able to grant nearly $9,000 to local women and their families in our March grant cycle! Granted funds went towards washers & dryers, bed frames & mattresses, and car repairs & tires.

We are thankful to have had our biggest Match Madness yet and appreciate all those who help WHW help others!
