Monkey In My Chair

Monkey In My Chair Monkey in My Chair is A FREE program offered at over 220 hospitals nationwide connecting school-aged cancer patients and their classmates.

Monkey in My Chair is a program of the Love, Chloe Foundation that helps cancer patients stay connected with their peers during treatment. The program is funded by donors and does not cost the family or hospital to participate. If you would like to request a kit, you can do that at www.monkeyinmychair.org

As important and special as Monkey is in the classroom, he often remains a substantial part of families who've lost a child. Ella's monkey attended her high school graduation in her honor this year. ❤️ Ella passed away from Neuroblastoma in November 2016, less than 10 months after her diagnosis.

"Thank you for Miguel's monkey, I loved seeing him so happy and the connection he had with him! He currently only has 3 hours of classes, but I love to see that he sits down to watch TV and sits the monkey on one side of him or asks me to put it on piggyback. He loved it and I love to see him so happy. Thank you so much!!!"

Did you know Monkey in My Chair began in Heidi's living room in 2009 as an idea to honor her daughter, Chloe? Chloe loved school and monkeys, so the idea to incorporate the two into one program for other childhood cancer warriors was the perfect fit.
Today, there are monkeys hanging out with their classroom friends across the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and even Japan! How cool is that?!?

We've tried to convince Monkey to get himself together, but he doesn't listen very well! 😅 Instead, we have numerous students who come in throughout the year and help us assemble Monkey kits. 💛 We are so grateful for our volunteers who help us provide this amazing program to families like yours!
