Salida Cyclones Swim Team – Summer 2026
Join the Salida Cyclones, an elite swim team affiliated with Colorado Swimming and USA Swimming. Our team boasts a strong track record, with swimmers advancing to state competitions (both club and HS CHSAA 3A), NCAA Division I swim programs, and even Nationals. Water safety is of paramount importance in our river valley, and this is an excellent opportunity to foster strong swimmers. Develop skills, compete at a high level, and be part of a supportive and successful team this summer.
Who can join:
Ages 5–18.
Swimmers must be able to swim 25 meters (one pool length) unassisted.
What:
Swimmers will learn the four competition strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly).
Where:
The swimmers primarily practice at the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center. (A carpool is available for BV swimmers.)
Cost:
$350 – All Levels.

Important Dates:
-April 28th: Open House and Tryouts for Younger Swimmers. 4:50 PM – 6:30 PM. Board members will be at the pool to meet families, answer questions, and evaluate new swimmers.
-May 5th & 6th: Team Building and Dryland Practice, TBD (No pool access this week).
-May 12th – 20th (Tues and Wed): Early Season Pool Practices, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
-May 26th – July 31st (Tues through Fri): Regular Season Pool Practices, 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM.
-May 26th – July 29th (Tues and Wed): Optional Stroke Clinic at the Pool, 6:10 PM – 8:00 PM (Limited space).
-June 5th – August 2nd (Most Weekends): Optional Swim Meets. Meet Info Coming Soon. Meets are across Southeastern Colorado. The final 2 meets are SECAL League Meet and Seasonal State – both require qualifying times.
