The Sustainable Living Center at Pringle Creek Community provides a unique living laboratory that educates and encourages sustainable practices in daily life. Through community partnerships, we deliver hands-on programs that demonstrate sustainability in action and inspire environmental excellence.

✨Come join the free art, environmental, and community festival this Saturday, August 8 in historic Englewood Park in Salem.

The Festival has live music and dance on two stages, 50 local artists, many art and nature based activities, and delicious food vendors. Detailed information is on the website listed on the flyer! ✨

This last weekend we got to build Wren Nesting boxes, take home bat houses, and learn from the Salem Audubon Society! It was such a pleasure to work and learn with folks from all over Salem! 🐦‍⬛

Join us the evening of Thursday, August 27th, in historic Painters Hall at the Pringle Creek Community to celebrate the bounty of the Willamette Valley and support the SLC's programs!

Sample organic heirloom tomatoes grown in the .creek.comm.urban.farm historic glasshouses and curated wine provided by .

Each ticket includes:
-5 tastings of paired wine* and tomatoes
-Samples of additional specialty tomato varietals
-Small savory and sweet bites
-Non-alcoholic beverages
-Tours of the Urban Farm and the SLC's Fir Grove
-Live music by acoustic singer/songwriter Phoelix Music

Additional wine will be available for purchase.

Proceeds support SLC's current and future programming and the future of the SLC Fir Grove.

*Kombucha tastings from available in lieu of wine upon request (please note in ticket selection)

🌲We love to see the beautiful native plants in the Fir Grove. While there aren't many in the Grove itself, it is so special to see them working so hard to restore and fight introduced/invasive plants.🌲

Last Saturday we had our second summer session: Native Bee and Pollinator Habitats! We were able to share knowledge and learn with all those that joined us and build puddlers and easy native bee houses! 🐦🐛🦋🐞🐜🪰🐝🕷️🦗🐍🦎🐁
