I would love for you to experience what it's like to sponsor a child in Belize like we have for William over the past 3 years. And now you can!

We have 21 new students looking for sponsors and we have a lofty goal of finding them all sponsors by the end of February (just 9 days left).

It's just $40 a month which provides them with tuition, school supplies and uniforms. This takes an enormous burden off of the back of these usually single parents and usually single mothers who all have more than 1 child to send to school.

Our mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education supported by pastors in the communities we serve. So these children are being watched over by their pastors and community coordinators who work with our non-profit directly (Oaks of Righteousness).

We do at least one trip a year to Belize in January (this year there is another opportunity in July if you're interested! I'll get you the details for the interest call happening this Sunday night). So you have the unique opportunity to meet your sponsored child and really create a special relationship. And it's an honor to meet their mothers and other family members as well.

We are all brothers and sisters in this world. Let's uplift each other where we can and share of our abundance đź’ť

The link to see all of the kids and their bios is in the comments! Please consider becoming a sponsor yourself and/or share with someone you think would like to!

Day 4

The Punta Gorda group attended church with thier sponsored kiddos and families. The music and worship was amazing.

They helped out with teaching Sunday School to the kids and youth and also shared thier testimonies.

Richard Harward broughght CTR rings to share with the kids (Choose The Right).

Becky Haughey was able to give the fabric she brought with Maria - who is the leader over sewing at the ministry.

After church they ate lunch and then made the 4 hour trek back up to Belize city to meet up with the rest of the group.

DAY 3
After the teacher training, we set up three bounce houses, two trampolines, and a volleyball net for the kids. We also served hot dogs and popcorn. It was a fun-filled day of play and connection with the kiddos.

While we were in Punta Gorda, the church generously provided our lunches and dinners. Every meal featured chicken that was incredibly fresh and tender, practically falling off the bone. It was absolutely delicious. While helping out in the kitchen, I noticed the word “EAT” written above the back door. When we asked about their secret to cooking such tender and flavorful chicken, they explained that it’s because the chicken is as fresh as it gets—they killed and plucked it that very morning.

DAY 3
Today we got up earlier so that we could eat breakfast, have devotional, and get over to the church for the teacher training and carnival for the sponsored kids.

It was alot of fun watching the kids get so excited over everything.

Day 2: Punta Gorda
After arriving in Belize, half the group went to the Roaring Creek community and our half drove four hours to Punta Gorda, grabbed some food, and checked into our hotel.

The next morning, we started the day with breakfast provided by the hotel. Then we loaded up the van and headed to Wemart to pick up groceries for our sponsored child and their families. At the church, we divided the groceries into portions, and afterward, we visited five homes during our home visits.

It’s been a busy and rewarding start to the trip!

UPDATE: A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who donated!! Your generosity - whether suitcases, supplies, or monetary donations - it really means so much. Because of your help, we can bring essential items to these families, orphanage, and community. Thank you!!

Hello our unBEALIZEable community, this is Becky, and we need your help!

This is the week we are headed to Belize with the Oaks of Righteousness organization!! Kindra Anderson Adair and I, along with my dad Richard Harward who will be joining us, will be taking extra supplies to bless the lives of the wonderful people in Belize—but we need your support to make it happen.

Here’s how you can help:
1. Donated suitcases/duffle bags (with wheels):
We need sturdy bags to carry the supplies, which we’ll leave in Belize. If you’re in Utah Valley, I can pick these up Monday or Tuesday. Send me a DM.

2. Monetary donations:

- Support an orphanage: There are still a few items on the list for one of the orphanages we’ll be visiting, and your donations will help us purchase what’s needed.

- Help cover extra luggage fees: We’ll be taking a number of additional suitcases, to carry hygiene kits, items for orphanage, material and sewing supplies - which can be heavy.
Your donation is muchly appreciated ♥️

Why this matters:
Last year, we met a remarkable woman in Punta Gorda who found that sewing could help her provide for her family. My mom, who loves sewing as both a hobby and a way to serve others, has generously donated fabric and sewing supplies to support this woman and the larger community.

The christian church we partner with in Punta Gorda has sewing machines and offers classes to teach this skill, giving people a way to support their families. We are determined to get these supplies to them! In addition, we’ll be bringing hygiene kits to distribute and hope to purchase the remaining items needed for the orphanage.

If you’re able to help, we would be so grateful. Every little bit makes a difference in the lives of these families. Thank you for being part of this mission with us!

Feel free to message us if you’d like to help or have any questions. ❤️
