Oregon Cattlemen's Association is accepting monetary donations to the Wildfire Assistance Fund to help Oregon Ranchers recover from wildfire damages from 2026 fires. No donation is too small.
Donations can be made online, over the phone, or with a mailed check.

Submit your patriotic ranch photos for a chance to be featured on the cover of the Oregon Cattleman Magazine: America's 250th Birthday Edition!

This is OCA's 7th annual patriotic photo contest! Email high-resolution photos to [email protected], and we will select a few to feature in the magazine, with one featured on the cover. Submit photos from the ranch, rodeo, parade, and fair. Photos of the countryside, cowpokes, and cattle. Deadline to submit photos is July 15th.

OCA wishes you a joyous celebration of 250 years of American wins. America was built through the pioneering spirit, and OCA is proud to represent and uphold the heritage of cowboys which represents American history, innovation, hard work, and strong values.

Whether you are joining the crowd at the fireworks show, or escaping to the woods, OCA hopes that you safely enjoy this 4th of July and take a moment to celebrate American Independence.

Last Friday OCA held its Mid-Year Membership Meeting in Madras, Oregon. The event was well attended with over 55 members and speakers Tootie Smith (FSA State Director), Denny Atchley (NCBA Membership Services Associate Director) and many special guests from U.S. Department of Agriculture, Sheriffs from 3 Counties, Commissioners from Jefferson, Union, and Harney Counties, and 6 local County Associations were represented as well. Thank you to AgWest Farm Credit for sponsoring our lunch on Friday.

Handling association business is an important part of being a member. Attending meetings like this is one of the ways OCA offers a platform to ranchers and allow their voices to be heard. OCA's Committee's reviewed and processed new and expiring resolutions; updates came in from across Oregon and the United States. Thanks again to all our members for their attendance and contributions.

Settle in the night before with a reception with OCA Leadership on Thursday night, June 25th, sponsored by Halter, located at New Basin Distilling Company. Friday, June 26th starts with guest speaker Tootie Smith, FSA State Director, to be followed by association policy and business, with lunch sponsored by AgWest Farm Credit.
