In observance of Memorial Day, there will be no Monday breakfast at VFW Post 661 as we take time to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful Memorial Day, and we look forward to seeing you all Thursday for Battle Buddies Lunch! 🍽️🇺🇸

Our Post Weekly Meals Are Back… and we’re excited to welcome everyone back!

After a brief pause to complete essential repairs and spruce up our Post, we’re thrilled to announce that our weekly breakfast and lunch services are officially back in full swing. These meals have always been more than just food. They are a place for Veterans, families, and friends to connect, share stories, and build community.

To help keep this tradition going strong, we’re looking for a few dedicated kitchen volunteers. Whether you can spare an hour helping with Monday Breakfast or join us during our Battle Buddies Thursday Lunch, every helping hand makes a difference and helps us continue serving our Veterans with warmth and care.

🌱🇺🇸 HELP US GROW SOMETHING MEANINGFUL 🇺🇸🌱

SOVAH is proud to support the new Veterans Community Garden at On The Edge Farm in Dallas, Oregon.

This project is about more than planting vegetables. It is about creating a place where veterans and their families can reconnect, find purpose, build community, and spend time together outdoors in a healthy and supportive environment.

We are currently inviting:
✅ Veterans & military families to come participate
✅ Community volunteers to lend a hand
✅ Donors & supporters to help us continue building this space

🪏 Current donation needs include:
• Shovels
• Rakes
• Gloves
• Hoses
• All types of Gardening tools & supplies

Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) is hosting the Jobapalooza Virtual Hiring Event on Wednesday, May 13. This event will be nationwide and take place from 11am-3pm ET. It is open to all Veterans, Service members, and military spouses. This event will feature dozens of top federal, private, and non-profit employers who are hiring for well-paying positions around the country. There will also be community resources available.
