From Friends of Felines:
September TNR Scheduling is here! Crazy how fast these months are going! Thank you all for working so hard this year getting so many Community Cats in and vetted! It is truly amazing to see the success you guys have trapping! Though this task is so hard and not seen by many, we see you and applaud you for everything each of you do! Keep up the life changing work!
For September, we will be closed for Labor day 9/7. With that being said appointment availability will be less than the previous months and we will only be able to give out limited appointments for September. We will try our best to make sure everyone gets a few appointments though!
Of Course, if you have a URGENT NEED (such as a pregnant female or super cheeky males) please reach out to see if we can accommodate on one of our Public Days - Wednesday or Thursday. Tuesdays and Friday's are strictly for our Shelter Pets and we have has a influx of unaltered animals coming through out shelter and our surgery days have been very heavy and we will not be able to accommodate on those days. Please note, we may still not be able to accommodate on Public Days, but please do not hesitate to ask.
As usual below are our TNR Requirements:
This program is for feral, stray, barn, or abandoned cats only
(This is not for pets or cats who are considered apart of the family)
Cats MUST arrive in a live-release trap
(Cats brought in carriers will be declined for surgery.)
Cats must be returned to the location where they were trapped.
There is a required fee of $50 per cat due at the time of service.
If these requirements do not work for you, this program may not be a good fit.
I also wanted to remind you of our Caretaker Requirements.
We MUST have caretaker information before your appointment date. IF you are trapping for someone else/someone's property and the cats are being returned to that site, we have to speak to the caretakers of the cats that are being trapped. We have to legally speak with the caretakers to get consent for the surgeries and explain our TNR Program. With this being said, the appointments and ALL Surgical Consent forms must be signed by the caretakers. If you need these consent forms we are happy to provide you with them to you or send them over via email to you OR the Caretakers. Please let us know who caretakers are and all of their information at least 2 weeks prior to your appointments. We will reserve spots for you. If we do not get caretaker information- we will not be able to accommodate your appointments.
If cats are coming through your rescue and or going through a barn program and you are acquiring the cats they are still ok to come through your rescues name- as long as they are not going back under the care of their previous caretakers.
Also something that is super helpful to us, is when everyone has the names of the cats in the Portal! It makes check in so much smoother and faster for everyone! We have been naming cats "Feral 1-5 #" and they are all linked to each of your side of the portal. If you do not have access to the portal below will be the link! Our system is super cool and since you have a profile with us it will search for your profile and link the log in to your profile! Of course if you are not able to do this that is totally fine! Just wanted to let you know the quick tip!
