🍂🚀 Exploring the Seasons & Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Camp Fire Shoemaker!✨

Our students at Shoemaker Elementary are embracing the changing seasons while celebrating the achievements of Hispanic and Latino leaders! 🍁 Through a hands-on fall activity, campers explored how the world changes from summer to fall using their senses — noticing what they can see, touch, and smell as autumn arrives. 🍂

We also celebrated Ellen Ochoa, the first Hispanic woman to travel to space! 🚀🌎 Students learned about her incredible accomplishments and were inspired to dream big and reach for the stars.

At Camp Fire, learning happens through curiosity, creativity, and discovering the world around us! ❤️💛💙

As we wrapped up another amazing summer at Camp Fire North Shore, our campers got to put their creativity and outdoor skills to work! They explored the woods, gathered natural materials, and used what they found to create their very own bird’s nests. 🍂🪵🌱

Activities like this give campers the opportunity to slow down, explore nature, problem-solve, and turn the materials around them into something unique. Most importantly, they’re learning through hands-on experiences and having fun along the way!

What a perfect way to wrap up a summer filled with adventure, creativity, and connection to the outdoors! ☀️🌲🐦
