Buley Memorial Scholarship BULEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP The James P. Jim believed every student was unique, and saw the potential in his students that was often overlooked.

Buley Memorial Scholarship was established three years ago in memory of Jim, an outstanding teacher and mentor at Port Charlotte High School. He developed creative writing programs to motivate and challenge his students. He helped them to identify their strengths and give them the support to reach their full potential

Over the past three years an academic scholarship was presented to a deserving

Port Charlotte High School Senior who best demonstrates the character and philosophy that Jim instilled in his students, Academic Excellence, Personal Development and Leadership Qualities. Jim was a 1976 graduate from South Burlington High School, where Jim was the first student representative to the School Board as well as President of Student Council. In an effort to recognize his contributions to the school, we were thrilled to offer an additional scholarship to a deserving senior at South Burlington High School who demonstrates leadership qualities.
