Ceili of the Valley Society We hold Irish social dance (céilí – pronounced kay-lee) classes on Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 PM at the VFW Hall in Salem, Oregon.

501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and perpetuating Irish heritage and culture in the Willamette Valley primarily through social events that incorporate music and dance. vents that incorporate music and dance. Additionally, on the second Friday of the month, we host a Céilí with live music, called dancing, food, raffle and more (also at the VFW Hall) Come check us out! Our purpose is:
- To educate the public about Irish dance and culture by providing public access to the same;
- To research the history of Irish dance and preserve that cultural knowledge through educational outreach to the public;
- To nurture and develop Irish dance callers and musicians for the purposes of ensuring the continuation of a vibrant cultural community;
- To enhance the community by creating a cultural organization dedicated to Irish music, dance and other Irish cultural activities;
- To support the local Irish community and to enhance relationships between the local Irish, Scottish and other Celtic cultural communities in the Salem area and the larger Willamette Valley of Oregon. Support Irish Culture & Heritage in Oregon…

Check out the Celtic Music Hour! It's announcing it's Pledge Drive August 15-21st AND a new ability to show for swag.

Our rebroadcast is ready for Friday at 7 PM, August 14th! It's all about sea music and things it touches. Stream the show live at kmuz.org. Plus, we want to announce that starting Saturday, August 15th, KMUZ is launching its Fall Pledge Drive The dates are August 15-21st. Our show is Tuesday August 21st and will feature local musicians' music. For the first time, we'll also have a KMUZ "shop". The Celtic Music Hour has its own tote bag! You'll soon find it at https://shop.kmuz.org/collections/all.

We open with the group Leahy playing the tune Lakefield. We hope you'll tune in! It's also available for up to two weeks following a broadcast by going to kmuz.org/shows.
