Journeys of Hope

Journeys of Hope Beverly DECA Cares needs your help to support Journeys of Hope, a program that serves the needs of homeless youth, ages 18-23 in the North Shore

Officials estimate that there are 990 homeless youth and young adults living on the North Shore. This includes young adults who are living on the streets, "couch surfing" from house to house, living in a homeless shelter with chronically homeless adults, recently discharged from foster care, and those who are estranged from family or have left unsafe home situations. Whatever the reason for their

current situation, Journeys of Hope provides support for homeless and at-risk young adults from communities across the North Shore.

Hi everyone! So this sunday Journey's of Hope will be participating in the holiday parade in Beverly. We are going to be called "The Truck of Hope" and throughout the parade collect canned goods, clothing and other items from people at the parade. There will be a call going out to families who have kids in the Beverly school system letting them know to bring these items.

However, the superintendent of Beverly has asked us to collect these donations in wagons or carts alongside of the truck and then empty them into the truck after, for safety purposes.
........So we need your help!

If anyone is looking for community service hours or is interested in helping during the parade that would be awesome! We will be meeting in the Cummings Center parking lot around 11:00 am on Sunday and the parade will start at noon. Please let us know if you're interested. The more help we can get, the better!

Have a wonderful and delicious Thanks Giving! :)
