Community Event Spotlight: Mother's Day Plant Sale!

From the organizers: "Winter is finally behind us, the soil is warming up, and the Cottage Gardeners are knee-deep in preparations for our biggest event of the year: the annual plant sale on May 9th, 8:00am-noon, Marblehead VFW, 321 West Shore Drive. Plenty of parking, means more plants in your car. We always offer loads of shade plants like woodruff and hostas in much larger sizes. The prices at the Cottage Gardeners of Swampscott and Marblehead cannot be beat. Proceeds go to a good cause, beautification of our towns, education & scholarships. We have anemones, astilbes, chrysanthemums, coreopsis, dahlia tubers, evening primrose, ferns, foam flower, ginger, goatsbeard, hostas, herbs, hellebores, ladies mantle, lavender, Montauk daisies, sedum, Shasta daisies, speedwell, yarrow, rosa rugosa, and various ground covers. There will be more added to this list. There will be a garden treasure table with gently used pots, tools, hoses & decor for your garden. If you’re looking for healthy, locally grown perennials that thrive in our Salem, Marblehead and Swampscott gardens, mark your calendar for May 9th - the Cottage Gardeners plant sale is back, and it’s in a super-convenient location."
