We are a community whose gardeners come from all around the globe. The diversity of this community and the gardening lessons we each bring to this garden is part of what makes our organization so special!

To celebrate our many backgrounds, Palmer Cove Garden will be hosting a multicultural potluck dinner on Wednesday, August 12 at 6PM. Please come, meet other gardeners, and eat! Bring a dish made from ingredients (at least one!) you grew in your garden that is a taste of home or a recipe from your family’s culture.

We will need some volunteers to come a little early to help set up, as well as volunteers to bring plates, napkins, utensils, etc. Bring your own water/beverage.

Palmer Cove is located at 50 Leavitt St. There are parking spots in front of the garden, as well as street parking.

Email Palmer co-captain Chris with any event questions: [email protected].

Thank you to our friends at Bentley Academy for visiting the gardens this week! We learned about pollinators, what goes into a successful garden, and made bookmarks with stamped flowers from our gardens!

Join us for a Pollinator Garden Workday this Saturday, 7/11/26, from 9am-11 am

We'll be weeding, tidying the edges of the garden, including along the back fence, and possibly clearing some pathways through the lush pollinator habitat. This garden is now 5 years old and is clearly very happy! Bring water, sun protection, any pruning tools you might have, and work gloves if you prefer. Come for any or all of the time. Knock off your service hours, meet some fellow gardeners, and check out what's blooming right now!
Rain will reschedule.

Last weekend, Splaine Garden brought gardeners together for a bench design contest and painting party on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The winning design was created by Gigi and Noe, with the theme “Come As You Are.” Their idea was to help make the garden feel welcoming to everyone in our garden community, no matter their background or where they come from.

The bench itself was built by hand by Scott B, and many Splaine gardeners joined in to help bring the winning design to life with paint. The result is a colorful new gathering spot that reflects the spirit of the garden: creative, welcoming, and community-minded.

Gardeners also painted new water signs to place in plots when gardeners are away, helping make it easier for neighbors to support one another during the growing season.

Thank you to Gigi, Noe, Scott B, and everyone who helped design, build, paint, and celebrate this new addition to Splaine Garden!
