BREAKING: Two traffickers have been sentenced to more than 37 years in prison in Thailand after recruiting Myanmar nationals with fake job offers and trafficking them into forced scamming operations in Cambodia.

Survivors had been promised legitimate work. Instead, they were forced across borders and coerced into online scamming. When survivors spoke up and authorities took action, a cross-border investigation followed.

IJM teams in Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar supported survivors through rescue, aftercare and the criminal justice process, helping them safely return home and later pursue justice in Thailand.

This landmark case shows why cross-border collaboration matters: trafficking networks don’t stop at national boundaries, and neither can the fight for justice.

➡️ Pray for survivors of forced scamming across Southeast Asia, and share this story to show that accountability is possible.

Happy Mother's Day.
This is for the mother who shows up, even when it's hard.
The one whose eldest daughter couldn't stay in school, but who works hard every day so her youngest can sit her board exams.
The one who did not have a home growing up, but now with her own financial stability she is able to rent a place of her own.
The one who can give her all at work because just next door, her sons are safe, nourished, and cared for.
The women who were told they had no future, and are now building one, stitch by stitch, day by day.
The mothers who looked at their own childhoods, early marriage, loss, exploitation, and made a quiet, fierce decision: not for my children.
And the women who never had children of their own, but became mothers anyway, because motherhood is not about biology. It's about who you show up for.
This Mother's Day, we honor all of them.
The ones at Basha. The ones in your life. The ones who shaped you without even knowing it.
Behind every stitch is one of these women. And every purchase has honored her, and her future.
Thank you for being part of this.
When you buy from Basha, you are not just taking home something beautiful. You are walking alongside a mother who is giving everything she has for her children.

One of our artisans shared her story with us. Years ago, her eldest daughter left home at a young age. She wasn’t able to continue her education, and it’s something that still stays with her.

But today, her youngest daughter is sitting for her HSC exams.
At home, things are not easy. Her husband is sick and bedridden, and much of the responsibility now rests on her shoulders. And yet, every day, she shows up, to work, to provide, to support her daughter through this important time.

This mother's day we are celebrating a mother's resilience and strength. When you purchase a Mother's day gift, are not just buying a product, you are honoring and supporting a mother who is doing everything she can to give her child a different path.

Today is the last day to order in the US.

If you’ve been meaning to send something meaningful this Mother’s Day, this is your moment. Each package honors the in your life while supporting a mother at Basha.

Orders close tonight.
