Team Muddy Paws is back from Kaotic K9s 3-day tournament in Auburn Washington!
We enjoyed the nice weather, PJ Sunday, and getting to spend the weekend playing with old friends and making some new ones. Most importantly, the dogs had a great time doing what they love!

There was lots to celebrate with some awesome new titles and achievements:
🏆 Rupert — FM
🏆 Dari — FM
🏆 Scarlett — FDCH-S
🏆 Heimdall — FDCH-S
🏆 Rush — FDCH-S
🏆 Malikai — Personal Best 4.4
And our club took 1st place in both Open and Regular on Saturday!

It was a great weekend of racing, titles, teamwork, and happy dogs. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🐾💙

Just a reminder!

No flyball practice or class on Sunday, Oct. 4, as many club members and dogs are at a tournament in Washington. Good luck to all our racers!

We’ll be back in action Oct. 11, with practice and setup at 1:30, new dog class at 2 p.m.

Upcoming events include treats for Darina (9th), and Dilly, Heimdall and Maven’s (4th) birthdays on Oct. 18, and a festive Halloween Photo Booth on Oct. 25, so start planning your pups’ costumes now!

Making progress and having fun!

New flyball students! Enyo the shepherd, running so fast she is a blur, and Maddie the pittie mix learning to pass with the help of Rupert the spaniel. We’re impressed with how well they are doing.

No class or practice Sept. 6. Enjoy your Labor Day weekend!

Practice resumes Sept. 13, and our first session of New Dog Class is set for 2 pm Sept. 13 as well.

No practice 8/23 as the Muddy Paws teams are competing at the Animal House tournament in Albany. You’re welcome to come cheer them on! The event is Saturday and Sunday at the Linn County Expo Center, and racing starts at 8:30 am.
No practice 8/30 as we’re taking a week off to recover.

Fun times!
Some of the dogs and their people enjoyed an outing Saturday! Thanks so much to Nancy, Rob and Cherry for hosting a swim party for the pups and a BBQ for the humans!

Sunday July 19, Muddy Paws will offer a chance for dogs and their people to try flyball! We’ll have activities for dogs to try, as well as ideas for people to do at home to help their pups get ready to play!
Classes for new dogs start in September, but this gives you a chance to see what it’s all about.

Tournament Week is Almost Here! 🐾

Here's what to expect for the week:
🚫 Sunday, July 5: No class or practice.

📍 Tournament Location: Jackman Long Building at the Oregon State Fairgrounds (near 17th St. SE).

🛠 Wednesday, July 8 (10:00 a.m.): Help unload the tournament mats from the trailer and tape the edges of our four new mats.

🛠 Thursday, July 9 (10:00 a.m.): Main setup day! We'll be laying mats, setting up backstops and tables, taping crating areas, covering glass doors, and putting together raffle baskets. Many hands make light work! Pizza is usually provided—please bring your own drinks.

🎉 Friday, July 10 (11:00 a.m.): Final setup before demonstrations begin. Public demos and kids' flyball races are at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., with practice time available in between. Friday Night Racing starts at 5:00 p.m.

🏁 Saturday & Sunday, July 11–12: Racing all day! Please arrive:
Saturday: 7:30–8:00 a.m.
Sunday: 7:00–7:30 a.m.

We'll need volunteers throughout the weekend, so if you can spare some time, we'd love your help.
If this is your first tournament, don't hesitate to ask questions—we're happy to help and can't wait to have you join us! 💙

Muddy Paws will not have class or practice Sunday; too hot for dogs!
Next club practice is June 21 in Turner. Next class is June 28 at Polk County fairgrounds in Rickreall.
